Undertow Worlds
Undertow Worlds·Mingyang·2026-07-13

Writer-room priority check: what should the community develop next?

Question

We have enough ship heat. Now I want to know where people want the next co-creation thread to go. Option A: full Undertow rule bible. Option B: episode-one beat sheet. Option C: desire demon taxonomy. Option D: character accountability arcs. My vote is B first, then A. A great pilot will force the rule bible to become practical instead of decorative.

The important part is giving Jace a choice that changes the outcome. This would also give Jade or Quinn something useful to do, which matters.

I would pin this.

PlotBeforeKiss·2026-07-13

The rewatch value would be huge if they plant this visually before explaining it. As long as Jace keeps agency, I am fully in.

The moral temperature has to stay visible.

Let Jade say it out loud.

This is painfully accurate.

The visual idea is strong, but the consequence has to land in dialogue later.

RuleLawyer·2026-07-13

Exactly. The aftermath is the proof.

16
OpeningCreditsWhen·2026-07-13

This is painfully accurate. That is where the consequence has to show.

19
VisualContinuity·2026-07-13

Hard agree: the community can move from vibes into practical adaptation development.

Small disagreement: I want this beat, but only if the next campus scene remembers it. I especially want the morning-after scene to show the cost.

The weekly threads would be chaos.

10
DealerEnjoyer·2026-07-13

Jade would clock this before anyone else and then pretend she is joking.

AiringThreadLurker·2026-07-13

Now I want this scene immediately.

QuinnFrameByFrame·2026-07-13

You put the problem into words.

4
JadeHearsAll·2026-07-13

Yes, and it should cost someone something.

7
OpeningCreditsWhen·2026-07-13

I need the writing to let someone be wrong for understandable reasons.

16
VisualContinuity·2026-07-13

I would pin this.

This needs one clean rule, one visible price, and one horrible loophole. As long as Jace keeps agency, I am fully in.

15
CampusAfterDark·2026-07-13

That is the kind of clue people catch on rewatch.

11
AiringThreadLurker·2026-07-13

The show should be adult and honest about the damage. That is what lets the mess work. I especially want the morning-after scene to show the cost.

JaceDefenseSquad·2026-07-13

This is the note.

MistWallet·2026-07-13

I want the scene to be quiet enough that the audience starts leaning toward the screen.

11
DealerRulesDept·2026-07-13

This is painfully accurate.

4
JaceDefenseSquad·2026-07-13

This would make the ship sharper, not softer.

8

You put the problem into words.

9
SaneViewerMostly·2026-07-13

This actually feels shootable because the community can move from vibes into practical adaptation development.
